SportsPass Membership Cards
SportsPass is the new way to fund Australian sport.
GHA are excited to introduced a unique membership card for 2015 from SportsPass which provides direct benefits to GHA members and member clubs.
Each club will receive a bundle of membership packs that should be distributed to all registered players that have paid for their registration for the year.
In 2015, SportsPass Cards are players’ registration cards.
This card must be carried by players when participating in every club game and be sighted by an Umpire or Club Official before the player takes the field. It is considered proof of a player’s registration and Hockey NSW has adopted a NO CARD, NO PLAY policy.
In line with this, Hockey NSW will be conducting random audits throughout the season, commencing 1st May 2015.
It is the responsibility of the Club to ensure that players have received a Card and the responsibility of the player to affix a photo to the back of the card and ensure they have activated the card.
Hockey NSW will be requesting team sheets via email from Associations in the coming weeks and cross-checking player’s names against the activations of the SportsPass Card.
Activation is uncomplicated and can be achieved by following the simple steps below.
Activating Your SportsPass Card
1. Go to www.sportspass.com.au
2. Select Sign Up in the right hand corner
3. Type in your Card Number, located on the backside of your card in the bottom left-hand corner
(Note that Activation can only occur once a player has been given their card)
4. Fill out the form with the appropriate details
The SportsPass Card is a unique opportunity for players to access benefits from 120 partners and over 500 offers exclusive to holders of a SportsPass Card. For Associations, there is a direct financial benefit to be gained from players utilising the SportPass Card. Associations have the opportunity to raise much needed cash through rebates from participating companies and as such should do their best to drive use of the card.
